We found the www.civilwarinteractive.com site that has a long list of history blogs.

One of the sites is Andrew Wagenhoffer’s blog on books.  It is described as “one of very few blogs which must be regarded as ‘go-to sites’ prior to buying Civil War books.”

Dudley Bokoski, Greensboro NC has created a Civil War related blog which daily takes one item out of the Official Records of the War of the Rebellion (O.R.) from 150 years ago on that date and reprints it with a brief commentary that attempts to put the item into context.

Bokoski writes, “It has been a lot of fun for me, as you get a different perspective on the war when you see the events happening in real time and can fill in the blanks between battles.  And it has made me finally seriously dig into the 123 volumes of the O.R., which I purchased many years ago and had not given the serious study they deserve.

This is a link to Political Bookworm which is reviewing O'Reilly book on Killing Lincoln. The author of the blog points out the many errors in the book and the fact that it has been banned from the Ford Theatre as it is so inaccurate.
